Have you ever wanted to create a custom report in Tekmetric using metrics that are important to you? This is now possible with the Custom Financial Report!
You can find this report within the Financial Reports section of Tekmetric, next to the End of Day Report.
Using this tool, you can create a truly custom report:
- Pick from over 50 metrics to track shop performance.
- Pick two time periods to compare to each other, or just look at one specific time period.
This report will give you the power and flexibility to create a report that tracks what’s important to you, without any extra noise.
Report Layout
When you navigate to this report, you'll see a table that includes:

Rows containing different metrics
- The metrics that appear here are configured using the Metrics configuration option (more on this below).

Columns containing:

Previous Period
- This column contains metrics for whatever you've selected as your previous period in the time period configuration option (more on this below).

Current Period
- This column contains metrics for whatever you've selected as your current period in the time period configuration option.

% Change
- This column displays the percentage change for the metrics from the previous time period to the current time period.
Metric Configuration
If you select the Metrics option at the top of the report, the Configure Metrics modal will appear.
Within this modal, you can:
- Pick which metrics appear on the report (using the Show/Hide checkbox).
- Choose the order in which they appear (using the reorder icons to the left of the metric labels).
Your configuration is saved within your browser locally, so each time you come back to the report, you'll see your desired configuration.

Time Period Configuration
At the top of the report, you can pick and choose your "current time period" using the drop-down that's available on all of Tekmetric's reports.
If you select the Compare option or the actual dates listed to the left of this drop-down, a modal will appear that allows you to select your "current period" and "previous period" for this report.
For the previous period, there are three options:
- Previous Year
- This automatically selects the exact same date range as your "current period", but for the previous year.
- Previous Period
- This automatically selects the immediately preceding date range of the same length compared to your "current period". For example, if I've selected this week (7 days), choosing this option would give me the 7 days that occurred right before this week.
- Custom
- With this option, you can pick any date range you want, as long as it occurs before the "current period".
Exporting the Report
This report is available to download as a CSV using the Export option in the upper right hand corner of the report.
