Note: Automatic text message confirmations and reminders are only available for shops on Scale tier using Tekmessage, and only for appointments made via the Booking Tool. Contact our Support team with any questions about your tier or entitlements.

WHAT IS IT?
For shops using the Tekmetric Booking Tool and Tekmessage, your customers will automatically receive an instant confirmation and reminder text messages when they book an appointment using the booking tool.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
If you're a Tekmessage user, when your customer books an appointment using your booking tool they'll immediately receive a confirmation text message with the details of their appointment. The message will be shown in the Tekmessage thread for the customer, keeping all communications with the customer in a single thread.

The default appointment confirmation message will say:
Thank you for booking your upcoming service appointment at {Shop name} on {Appointment Date} at {Appointment Time}. Please let us know if you need to reschedule or cancel by replying to this text or call us directly at {Shop phone}. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.
EDITING YOUR MESSAGES
Within the 'Automations' tab of the Marketing Suite, you can now edit the appointment confirmation and reminder text messages sent to your customers.
Select 'Edit message' to open the editing modal. From here you'll be able to edit the text of the message to suit your shop's brand and personalize the message using variables. The available personalizations are listed below

Note that these confirmations apply only to booking tool made appointments.
To turn off, toggle off the automation on the main card. This will disable any booking tool made appointments from receiving confirmation or reminder text messages
Reminder messages will be sent out 24 hours in advance of the appointment and adhere to TCPA quiet hours. Reminder messages will only be sent between the hours of 9AM-8PM, based on your shop's timezone. If the reminder falls outside of these hours, we will send the message as close to 24 hours in advance as possible.
