Overview
Want to update more than one customer at a time? Tekmetric allows users to update certain customer settings in bulk. The following settings are available for bulk editing at this time:
- "Eligible for A/R" setting
- Credit Limit
More settings will be added to this capability in the future.
Walkthrough
You can find the bulk update functionality for customers within the Customers section of Tekmetric. There are now checkboxes next to each customer, including a "select all" checkbox that selects all records in the current page of the table.
You'll also notice a Bulk Edit button. This is disabled when no customer checkboxes have been selected in the table.
Note: Users that do not have the "Can configure A/R settings for customers" permission turned on will not be able to use this bulk editing capability at this time. They will not see checkboxes next to each customer and the Bulk Edit button will always be disabled. Once more settings are added to this bulk editing capability, this will change.

Once at least one customer checkbox has been selected, the Bulk Edit button becomes enabled and splits into two options: Bulk Edit (Selected Amount) and Bulk Edit All.
The Bulk Edit (Selected Amount) option (left side of the button) will update only the customers that have been physically selected in the table. In the example below, you can see that this would only update the 10 customers that had been selected on the current page of the table.
The Bulk Edit All option will update ALL customers in the table. In the example below, you can see that this would update all 26,096 customers in the table (aka all the customers in the shop).

If you apply any search criteria or tags to the table, the Bulk Edit All option will update to only include customers that meet that criteria or tag. In the example below, you can see that a customer tag of MVP Customer has been applied to the table. The Bulk Edit All option will now only update 2,277 customers, which is the exact number of customers that has the MVP Customer tag.

Once you select a Bulk Edit option, you'll see a modal appear. The Bulk Edit All version of the modal includes a warning that you're editing a large number of customers.
At this time, you can manage A/R eligibility and Credit Limits for the selected customers.
In order to manage Credit Limits, you have to select "Allow A/R eligibility." Once you do so, you'll see the Credit Limit field appear.

If you select "Disable A/R Eligibility," you'll notice that the Credit Limit fields becomes disabled. Customers that are not eligible for A/R cannot have credit limits.

Once you've made your selection and select Confirm, all the selected customers will have their A/R eligibility and Credit Limit values changed based on your selection.
