Adding Services to Appointments (Online Booking Integration)
Just like customers can select services when booking online, service advisors can now add those same services to appointments created directly in Tekmetric. This helps ensure both internal and external appointments are aligned—and that your calendar more accurately reflects the work that needs to be done.
For example, instead of writing “oil change” in a free-text field, you can now choose the actual Oil Change service that’s already set up in your Online Booking settings. These services will appear in the appointment improving time slot accuracy and internal consistency.
We recommend using this feature for any shop using Tekmetric Online Booking, especially if your service advisors regularly create appointments in Tekmetric.

What Services in Tekmetric Appointments Look Like
When you’re creating a new appointment in the Tekmetric appointments page, you’ll see the section titled Purpose of Visit with a “Choose Services” drop-down.

Clicking this will expand a searchable service list (pulled directly from your Online Booking services).
Once selected, each service will appear in the appointment details field, followed by any additional description that you have added.
Services can also be added by typing "/" on your keyboard, to add services in the field.

Where do I manage my services
You can manage the services for both your Online Booking Widget and your Tekmetric appointments by going to Booking Tool then scroll down to Services. In this list of services you can add, remove, or edit services. After you select Save your services can be added to appointments.

What Happens When a Service Is Removed or Renamed
- If a service is deactivated in your Online Booking services:
- It will no longer appear in the “Choose Services” selector
- It cannot be added to new appointments
- If the service was already used in a previous appointment, it will remain as a note in the appointment details
- If a service is renamed, the new name will automatically update anywhere it is used (including on existing appointments)
FAQs
Can I add custom services directly in the appointment flow?
No. All services must be set up in your Online Booking services first. You can always edit the service name or duration there.
Can I still use free text in the Purpose of Visit?
Yes, and you can combine it with selected services to give more context (e.g., notes about symptoms or priorities).
Will these services appear on a Repair Order created from the appointment?
Yes, when you add a service to an appointment and then create a Repair Order, the services can still be added same as normal.
Do these services link with my third party CRM?
No, these services are setup and managed for your Tekmetric Online Booking.
