Walkthrough of the Experience
Shop with Affirm enabled loads a payment on a terminal for a repair order over $250.

When your customer is ready to check out, they will see a “Pay with Affirm” button displayed on the terminal, below the prompt to tap or insert their payment.

When the Pay with Affirm button is clicked, a unique QR code is displayed that, when scanned, takes the customer to Affirm to complete an application or (if an existing Affirm user) to authenticate and (if approved) select a payment plan.

You will see from the Payment Attempt screen that the customer has chosen to apply for Affirm.

When the terminal shows the payment approved, the payment is recorded in the Transactions table as a successful Affirm payment.

If payment fails, the payment failure is recorded in the Transactions table, and you and the customer will be prompted to try a different form of payment. If the customer is paying with a card, simply reload the card present payment attempt on the terminal.

Answer: The customer can X out of the QR code screen if they choose to pay another way OR you can cancel the payment attempt and reload payment on terminal to capture card payment.
Question: Do I need to wait to take payments on other ROs while the customer for the current RO is applying for Affirm?
Answer: If you have more than 1 terminal, you can navigate to a new RO and load/ take payment against those ROs on a secondary terminal while the customer is completing their Affirm application on the current terminal.
Question: What happens if the customer already has an Affirm account? Are they able to select it from the terminal?
Answer: Yes, if they already have an Affirm account, they'll still scan the QR code, authenticate their account, and if approved select their desired financing plan and then proceed with payment.
