The Carfax integration comes free with Tekmetric and allows your shop to view the Carfax service history on a vehicle (not including collision).
Important Notes:
- If the integration is connected, it is applied to your entire shop and cannot be turned on or off for specific customers or vehicles.
- It will only send data to Carfax if the repair orders have a license plate associated with the vehicle.
- Only authorized work will be sent over to Carfax. As of now, declined work does not move over.
- If you have the Carfax integration enabled, Tekmetric will send Carfax the repair and service history after the RO has been posted. This process can take up to ten days after the RO posted date. (ROs posted to A/R will not be sent over.)
- Tekmetric sends Carfax the Job Title and they qualitatively interpret/categorize that into their standard descriptions that get reported.
- For any issues with data accuracy, you will need to contact Carfax, not Tekmetric. You can contact them at the below contact information.

- For Canadian shops - If your shop address is Canadian, then Tekmetric converts your mileage to km before sending to Carfax.
Connect Carfax Integration
- Click Shop Settings section on the left menu bar.
- Click into the Integrations tab.
- Click Link in the Carfax Integration box.
- Click Connect in the window that appears.

Disconnect Carfax Integration
- Click Shop Settings section on the left menu bar.
- Click into the Integrations tab.
- Click Manage in the Carfax Integration box.
- Click Disconnect in the window that appears.
