Canned jobs are pre-saved jobs that include labor and parts associated with common repair work done. We recommend you build canned jobs for services you provide frequently in your shop in order to save your service writers time when building repair orders. For example, let’s take a conventional oil change job. Rather than the service writer manually re-adding the same labor hours and oil type for every vehicle that comes in for an oil change, they can just add the pre-saved canned job by a click of a button.. Other services we recommend to create canned jobs for are mount and balance tires, brake repairs, state inspections, alignment check, and more.
Your employees could spend up to two hours a day just writing the same description over and over again. For example, let’s say it takes your service writer 2 minutes to write up an oil change job on every repair order. With a canned job, it would take them less than 15 seconds to add to the estimate! From there, all they would need to do is quote and order parts for that vehicle. Every minute counts when trying to improve your shop’s efficiency.
Canned Jobs save you time when building an estimate for your customer. Instead of recreating a job you perform often, you can create as many canned-jobs as you'd like.
