Managing employee access doesn't have to be a manual, one-by-one chore. Tekmetric's Permission Groups feature allows you to create custom permission profiles and assign them to your team in bulk, ensuring everyone has exactly the access they need to do their jobs effectively.
Please note: Employee permissions in your shops have NOT been changed with this release - all permissions remain the same and are classified as "Individual Permissions." This feature is now in place for you to start using moving forward, if you like.
While this feature is completely optional (you can stick to your current process if you prefer) adopting it can significantly streamline your shop's operations.
For multi-shop users, the addition of permissions management in Tekmetric Multi-Shop unlocks the ability to centrally control all employee permissions across all shop locations, without ever leaving the Multi-Shop dashboard.
Why should I use Permission Groups?

Did any of my employee's permissions get changed when this feature was released?
- Nope! Employee permissions in your shop were NOT changed with the release. All permissions remained the same and were classified as "Individual Permissions," meaning that the employee is not part of a permission group.
Do I have to use this feature?
- Nope! This is an optional feature. However, we recommend that you do use it to streamline employee management
Who has access to manage permission groups?
- In individual shop locations, anyone with the Employees sub-permission "Can create/edit/delete permission groups" can manage permission groups in your shop.
- In Tekmetric Multi-Shop, any user with write access to the Multi-Shop dashboard can manage permission groups for your organization.
