When properly completed DVI inspections are reported to your employees, they can see how valuable they are, which tech is doing the inspections, and which ones are getting more services from them, based on average dollars per repair order with inspections versus no inspections. By eliminating pencil whipping, coaching, and empowering your employees, you can ensure that all inspections are performed in the most efficient manner.
When DVI inspections are properly completed, you should see an average repair order increase of 17-20%. When you have one or more inspections, you should be able to see how long it is taking from start to completion when the completed button is pressed. When a technician takes 20 minutes on average and another takes 40 minutes, this can be a simple reason to change the process.
Using multiple inspections, you can also view the average repair order sale per inspection to determine which inspection makes the most profit. In the case of a paid customer inspection, the ARO should be higher than the ARO for a complimentary inspection.
Tekmetric now offers a comprehensive Inspection Report allowing you to better understand how DVIs impact your shop. This can be used to drive home the value of quality inspections to your team and help you understand the influence inspections have on ARO and Close Ratio. You will now be able to:
- View high-level metrics to compare ARO and Close Ratios with and without inspections.
- Review the completion rate, avg. inspection time, avg. findings, and % sent-to and viewed-by customers.
- Analyze multiple graphs to show ARO and Close Ratio by Attachment Count.
- Sort and view a detailed table grouped by technician, service writer, or inspection name to show the details of each DVI.
- Filter the report by service writer, technician, or date range.
- Print and export your findings.
High-level Metrics
At the top of the report, a series of high-level metrics outline the impact and quality of your inspections. These data points will update in real time and automatically reflect any/all page-level filters applied.
Visualizations
Two graphs show the impact of attachment count as it relates to ARO and Close Ratio. Similarly to the High-level Metrics, these graphs will update in real time and automatically reflect any/all page-level filters applied.
Inspection Breakdown
The table shows a comprehensive view of all inspections along with a grouped view by technician, service writer, or inspection name. Within the grouped views, you can compare and contrast employee performance by using with completion rate, avg. ratings, avg. attachments, or % sent-to and viewed-by customers, for example. Additionally, you can filter and sort the table as necessary for further analysis. When a page-level filter is applied, the table will automatically adjust to only show inspections tied to the employee's name and/or date range selected.
Filtering
You can filter the Inspection Report by technician, service writer, or date range by using the page-level filters at the top of the screen. For example, to set a technician filter, select the technician dropdown and choose which employees you'd like to be included. As a result, the high-level metrics at the top of screen along with the graphs will reflect that of the technician selected and the inspection breakdown table will automatically filter to only show inspections tied to the technician's name.
Exporting
Using the Export button at the top of the screen, you can export via PDF or CSV to further review the data with your team.
Note: At this time, graphs will not be included in the export.
