Device Compatibility
Tekmetric is compatible with any device that has a Google Chrome browser. We find a lot of users have success with the Samsung Galaxy TabA device and Apple iPad. We do not recommend Kindle Fire tablets as they don't have Google Chrome compatibility.
Something to note, Microsoft tablets (like Windows 11) work like desktops. So when wanting to take a picture, you have to take the picture first, then upload it within the inspection. It does not give you the option to launch the camera within the inspection since it functions like a desktop rather than a tablet.
We also recommend the minimum ram is 3 GB for the device. The more ram, the better the performance.
Screen Size
We recommend a minimum 10" screen for ease and optimal viewing of Tekmetric, however you can use smaller screens including your phone. We are always working to improve the user experience for smaller screens and mobile devices.
Mobile use
You don't need to download any special app to use Tekmetric on your phone. Since we are cloud based, you just have download the Google Chrome app and use that to access the Tekmetric web app.
